Former Black Stars player, Yaw Acheampong has warned the Black Stars not to underestimate the Palanca Negras of Angola in their AFCON Qualifiers tier at the Baba Yara Sports stadium on March 23, 2023.
According to the former Elmina Sharks gaffer, every country is rising in football and they need to be very cautious against their Angolan counterparts.
“Now football, every country is rising to the top, so we don’t have to underrate any country, I think we have to go all out” Acheampong told Citi Sports.
“Not like our time when any team we faced back then we were considered favourites ahead of the game.” Now we have to be cautious, prepare well, psyche the boys up and well and emerge victorious at the end of the day”, he added.
Ghana defeated Angola by a goal the last time both sides met in the 2010 AFCON championship in Angola.
Ghana sit top of Group E with 4 points and will take on Angola in a two leg tier in Accra and Luanda, Angola.
