Bechem United’s center forward Stephen Owusu reveals he was spoken to by Kotoko’s coach Mariano Barrieto who wants him at his club if he manages to hold until job.
The attacker in an interview with Ashh FM said,
“What I can say is our game against Kotoko in Obuasi, I came in as a substitute and played 25 minutes and Kotoko coach Mariano Barreto said if he is still Kotoko coach next season, he will sign me for the club.
“Eric Esso was around when the coach told me this.
“When we went to play against Legon Cities Bashiru Hayford also promised me that he will sign me as well Techiman Eleven Wonders owner.
“During that week we played at Legon Cities and worked soo well and gained a draw.
“During our journey back home, we aimed at scoring Asante Kotoko and we were soo determined.
“That week, I trained hard and I was soo happy we won against Kotoko.
“I have scored against all Ashanti region teams except Kotoko and I really wanted to score against Asante Kotoko.
“I can play for Kotoko soo well and easily.
“Under Opoku Nti’s era he wanted to bring me to Kotoko but I was 16 years old and I told him I was too young.
“I decided to go to Berekum Chelsea to gain experience and come to Kotoko in the future.
