Kumasi Asante Kotoko returned to Baba Yara Sports stadium to suffer a 2-0 defeat to Medeama SC on Sunday night.
The Porcupines who defeated Samartex FC at the Nsenkyire stadium last week failed to make it count this time around infront of home fans as they were beaten by the Tarkwa based club.
The Yellow and Mauve club took an early lead in the 15th minute through Jonathan Sowah who headed home a low cross in the 18yard box to send the visitors ahead going into the break.
Back from recess, the Porcupines came into the game in search of the crucial equaliser but Medeama added insults to injury as Vincent Atinga doubled the lead from the spotkick in the 78th minute of the game.
Asante Kotoko fought back to grab a goal but all efforts proved futile as they were humiliated  at home.
The victory has seen Medeama SC leapfrogged to 4th position on the table ahead of Kumasi Asante Kotoko and Accra Hearts of Oak.
