The race is heated for qualification to the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup in Costa Rica as only two teams from Africa will gain slots for the tournament .

Ghana’s Black Princesses have been scheduled to first play away to the Young She-polopolo of Zambia in the weekend of December 2-4, 2021 before hosting the return leg in the weekend of December 16-18, 2021.

The aggregate winner of the two games will play either South Africa or Uganda in the penultimate round.

Coach Charles Haalubono and his Young She-polopolo thrashed Malawi 8-1 on aggregate in the second round of the qualifiers.

Coach Ben Fokour and his Princesses on the other had drew a bye in the preliminary stage of the qualifiers and had a leap into the third round when their second round opponents, Mauritania, withdrew from the qualifiers.

The team has since July been preparing assiduously at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence in Prampam for the qualifiers.

The Black Princesses are in search to record a 6th straight world cup appearance at the FIFA Women’s U-20 World Cup in Costa Rica.
