The 13th edition of the All African Games, which was scheduled to take place in Accra, Ghana in August, 2023, has been postponed following an agreement reached between the competition’s major stakeholders according to 3news.com.

Ghana, after winning the bid to host the rest of Africa in 2018 have failed to put up enough preparations leading to the postponement of the much awaited tournament.

In a stakeholders meeting earlier today in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, it was agreed that the tournament will be moved to 2024 in order to give the host country, Ghana, more time to finalize preparations.
The exact date of the competition is however yet to decided.

New disciplines(Rugby and Arm Wrestling) are however reported to be included with Kumasi and Cape Coast joining Accra as the three cities to host the competition.
