Coach Maxwell Konadu’s advisor, Teboho Pule, has confirmed that two South African clubs, Black Leopards and Polokwane City, have made offers to the renowned coach.
He disclosed that negotiations are underway with Black Leopards and Polokwane City, while there is also interest from an undisclosed third club.
“The one of Black Leopards is for the head coach position, and that of Polokwane will be for the coach to come and add his expertise in their technical team.” Konadu’s advisor in South Africa, Teboho Pule told iDiski Times.
Coach Maxwell Konadu is currently managing Ghanaian Premier League side Legon Cities, a position he took up in September 2021 following his departure from Asante Kotoko.The former Ghana international recently helped legon ciites from being relegated from the Ghana premier league this season.
Teboho Pule expressed optimism about finding a suitable opportunity for Maxwell Konadu, stating, “He worked with big players with immense talent. For now we are looking at this market of South African leagues in the DStv Premiership and Motsepe Foundation Championship. But soon we would have sorted something out.”
Coach Maxwell Konadu boasts extensive experience in coaching, having previously served as an assistant coach for the Ghana senior national team from May 2012 to March 2019, as well as from September 2021 to February 2022. Notably, he was part of the coaching staff for the Black Meteors team that clinched gold at the All African Games in 2011.
