Ghana international, Christian Atsu has been found dead in Turkey according to widespread reports in Turkey.
Atsu who went missing days after an earthquake that struck the country is reported to have been found lifeless after being trapped under the rubble for days.
Atsu’s agent Murat Uzunmehmet confirmed on twitter saying, “Christian Atsu was found and unfortunately passed away.”
It is with the heaviest of hearts that I have to announce to all well wishers that sadly Christian Atsu’s body was recovered this morning

Before moving to Turkey, Atsu have had stints with FC Porto, Rio Ave, Chelsea, Vitesse Arnhem, Everton, AFC Bournemouth and Málaga as well as Newcastle United.
Atsu made his Black Stars debut in June 2012 against Lesotho, scoring in the process.
He won the player and goal of the tournament at the 2015 African cup of nations held in Equatorial Guinea.
