Arsenal were hoping to extend their lead on top of the table to 10 points above Manchester City.

However, they had to face the best defence in the league in a Newcastle side that has shown resilience throughout the season.

With chances coming at a premium for both sides during the whole game,  nothing could separate both sides at the end of 90 minutes.

The Magpies however, see this draw as a positive result as this means they have kept 6 consecutive clean sheets.

This is the first time Arsenal have not won a home game in the Premier League this season.
Mikel Arteta’s side are still top of the league log with 44points after 17games.
