Ghanaian midfielder Mohammed Kudus notched a remarkable hat-trick in Ajax’s commanding 4-1 victory against Bulgarian side Ludogorets in the Europa League play-off on Thursday night.
The 23-year-old forward demonstrated his skill by securing a stunning hat-trick within 50 minutes of gameplay.
Kudus scored the first goal of the game in the 16th minute and promptly added a second goal just two minutes later.
The former Nordsjaelland player completed his hat-trick by scoring his third goal of the game five minutes into the second half, solidifying his standout performance. This feat takes his tally to 4 goals in 3 matches this season.
Recent reports have indicated that English club West Ham United has tabled a substantial €41 million bid in pursuit of securing Kudus’ signature. The Ghanaian midfielder still has two years remaining on his current contract.
During an interview, Kudus was asked about the possibility of this being his last match for Ajax.
He responded, ‘’Yes, I think so. But we’ll see what happens in the next few days. You know, I don’t have control over everything, but we’ll see in the upcoming days what happens. The talks are ongoing, so we’ll see if there’s an agreement in the next days, and then we’ll take it from there.”
Kudus joined Ajax in 2020 from Nordsjælland and has already clinched two Eredivisie titles and a KNVB Cup with the club.
