The Sports Broadcaster who was elected as SRC president of Jayee University College, was sworn in to lead the the students front for
in the University for this Academic year.
The annual Swearing in and Handing over ceremony took place at the fourcourt of the school on Saturday 5th August, where Amewugah and his other executives were sworn in.
The colourful event was graced by sports and media personalities across the country.
President of the Ghana Olympic Committee president was a guest speaker at the event.
Chairman of the Ghana Beach Soccer Association who is also an astute media peronel Yaw Ampofo Ankrah was present.
The President of Ghana Skate Soccer, Mr. Albert Frimpong was also present and couple of other dignitaries went to show thier support.
An event that was moderated by Metro TV’s Abigail Sena Sosu was colourful as a lot of colleagues in the media were also present.
Public Relations student at theJayee University college Evans Amewugah defeated his opponent weeks ago in a wide margin over 70% which clearly shows the believe the entire student body have in him.
Evans Amewugah in his acceptance speech pleaged to work with his team to raise the image of the University.
“Please allow me to take this opportunity to thank the previous group of leaders for their amazing and endearing efforts.
Indeed, you all serve as an example, a challenge, and a way for us to carry on the fantastic work you started. However, I am confident that with the team I have, we will perform even better because I have confidence in this team”.
President of the school who was also present at the inauguration Professor Emeritus Samuel K. Amoako requested for cooperation from Evans Amewugah and his executives to work together to achieve a common goal.
Guest Speaker for the occasion, president of the Ghana Olympic Committee Mr. Ben Nunoo Mensah in his speech also advised Evans Amewugah on how to lead the entire students body. He told him to be a serve students interest but also have to be a proper link between students and administration.
Evans Amewugah succeeds Rasheeda Angeley Nai for the 2023/24 academic year.
