Former President of the republic of Ghana, H.E John Dramani Mahama has supported the Ghana youth cycling team that won bronze at the 19th edition of the CAC African Road Cycling Championship with an amount of GH8000.
The donation was done on Sunday, February 12, 2023 on behalf of the former president to the youth men and women team that came 3rd in the team time trial race in the ongoing 19th CAC African Road Cycling Championships.
H.E John Mahama further extended his invitation to meet the team after the championship.
The Ghanaian women youth team won bronze in the 12km over one lap distance in 52minutes whiles the men youth team also placed 3rd in the 24km distance over two laps in 52minutes.
The 19th edition of CAC African Road Cycling Championships which began on February 8, 2023 will serve as a qualification phase for the 2023 All African Games to be held in Ghana and also the 2024 Olympic games to be held in Paris, France.
