Chelsea has reached an agreement to sign Pedro Neto from Wolverhampton Wanderers.
The West London club will pay €60 million ($51.4 million; $65.5 million), plus €3 million in potential bonuses, to sign Neto, who will undergo a medical soon.
Last season, the 24-year-old played 20 Premier League games for Wolves, missing two months due to hamstring injuries, scoring twice and assisting nine times. He regained fitness at the end of the season and was part of Portugal’s European Championship squad, appearing in all three group-stage games but coming on as an unused substitute in the last-16 and quarter-finals.
Neto joined Wolves from Braga in 2019 and has played 135 games for the Molineux club. However, due to injuries, he has not played more than 25 games in a season since 2020-21.
Neto’s contract with Wolves expires in the summer of 2027 after the Portuguese agreed to a new five-year deal in March 2022.
This summer, Chelsea signed Tosin Adarabioyo from Fulham, Omari Kellyman from Aston Villa, Marc Guiu from Barcelona, Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall from Leicester City, Renato Veiga from Basel, Caleb Wiley from Atlanta United, and Aaron Anselmino from Boca Juniors.
