Business Development Manager of Ghana Premier League side FC Samartex, Paul Anyaba, is optimistic about the club’s prospects in producing players who will dominate invitations to Ghana’s national teams in the near future.
Following their successful promotion from the Division One League, FC Samartex made a notable debut in the Ghana Premier League during the 2021/22 season, securing a commendable top-ten finish with 46 points from 34 matches.
The Former Skyy FC General Manager expressed confidence in the club’s ability to build upon its solid foundation and nurture players who possess the skills necessary to represent various national teams in Ghana.
Anyaba outlined the club’s plans to establish a women’s team, Samartex Ladies, as well as a youth team called Nsenkyire Stars. These initiatives aim to provide opportunities for young players to develop their talent and contribute to the club’s long-term success.
During an interview with Citi FM, Paul Anyaba stated, “At the end of this season, we need to form the ladies team (Samartex Ladies), the youth team (Nsenkyire Stars) we are done so we are doing all these things because in the next two, three years, you will see Samartex players dominating at the national level and if it happens, it’s not because of kululu (cheating) but because we have laid a solid foundation based on which we would have taken off in two, three years’ time’’
