Former Black Stars trainer, James Kwesi Appiah has hinted of his desire to return to duty as the head coach of the senior national soccer team for the third time.
Kwesi Appiah who has been in charge of the four time African champions on two occasions was relieved off his duties in December 2019 after his contract expiration.
Speaking in an interview with Dan Kwaku Yeboah, Coach James Kwesi Appiah said he will agree to coach the Black Stars if he is contacted for the vacant job.
“The fact that I have not come out to say I have stopped coaching if the opportunity comes and I can help why not.
“Once coaching is my destiny if I’m approached and I can help why not,” Coach Kwesi Appiah disclosed.
The Black stars coaching job became vacant after coach Otto Addo stepped down following Ghana’s elimination from the group stages at the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.
Kwesi Appiah qualified and led Ghana to the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil.
