Bibiani Gold stars secured a 2-1 victory against Asante Kotoko on match day 2 of the Ghana Premier League at the dun park on Saturday.

This match marked a significant milestone as Bibiani Gold Stars clinched their first win over Kotoko, having previously lost once and drawn twice against them.

The match was fiercely competitive and remained goalless at halftime, keeping the fans on the edge of their seats. However, the second half saw a flurry of action.

The Miners broke the deadlock in the 66th minute when Prince Owusu Kwabena found the back of the net. Kotoko quickly responded, with Sherriff Mohammed equalizing on the 71st minute.

The decisive moment came just four minutes later when Eric Bosomtwi scored to restore the lead for Gold Stars, ultimately securing the victory for his team.

Bibian Gold stars forward Alex Azo was adjudged man of the match for his impressive performance.

Gold Stars will travel to Accra to play Great Olympics on matchday 3 of the Ghana Premier League, while Kotoko will host Karla United at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.
