Ghanaian and Hearts Of Oak legend Mohammed Polo has revealed that his former side Glorious Accra Hearts OF Oak disastrous performance in Africa indicates the level of football in the country.

Hearts Of Oak crashed out in both the CAF Champions and Confederation Cup respectively with a mulling disappointing results, losing 6-2 on aggregate to Wydad Athletic and 4-2 to JS Saoura.

The former Ghanaian International has highlighted on the fact that football in the country are miles far from reaching the level of the elites.

Speaking with Edubiaseman FM, Coach Mohammed Polo said;

“We are saw what happened to Hearts Of Oak who just won the league with a fantastic performance disgraced when they participated in Africa.

“They conceded 10 disappointing goals and whereas the National U23 side also conceded a whopping 15 goals in all the matches. Not to forget our own Black Stars who got only 1 point in a group consisting of Comoros,Gabon and Morocco.

“This tells you we are not developing as a footballing country and we are far far behind.

Coach Mohammed Polo also talked about former Ac Milan Star Sulley Ali Muntari who joined Accra Hearts Of Oak in the ongoing transfer window.

“Those in Hearts Of Oak knows nothing about football. Sulley Muntari in know doubt is one of our legends in the Black Stars, he has played any competitive game before signing for them.

“We saw Asamoah Gyan who is also a legend just as Sulley join Legon Cities,what happened? complete disaster. We just don’t learn anything new about football.

” I am about to launch a book about Mohammed Polo for the new generation who don’t know of me.

“I have already sent a proposal to the Sports Minister and in due time will be ready.We all want the betterment of Ghana Football” Coach Mohammed Polo concluded.
