Cameroonian and Kumasi Asante Kotoko goal poacher Frank Mbella Etouga has opened up on his recent snub by the Indomitable lions of Cameroon ahead of the 2023 African cup of nations qualifiers.
Speaking to Kumasi based Opemsuo radio, Etouga revealed that he went through an emotional stress and it took the help of his CEO, Nana Yaw Amponsah to get back on track.
“When they first called me I was happy and proud because it was a sign that they’ve seen my hard-work but when my name was omitted.
“I lost focus but the Coach and the CEO helped me a lot by consoling me and telling me to believe in myself,” the Kotoko top marksman recounted.
Etuoga has been instrumental for Asante Kotoko in winning the 2021/22 Ghana Premier League, bagging 21goals so far.
The striker is gunning for the top scorer title as well as surpassing Ishmael Addo’s 22 goals record in a single Ghana premier league season.
