Ghanaian midfielder Kudus Mohammed has said in an interview with UK portal, GuradianSports that Brazilian international Neymar Jnr is no better of a footballer than him.
According to the Black Stars midfielder, the Paris Saint German forward is just a higher-profile player but not a better talent than him.
“Neymar is not better than me. He’s just a higher-profile player, that’s all… What makes him better, for now, is that he has achieved a lot. I’ll get there soon.”
“Me and Neymar, part two? I’m sure he would enjoy it.”
Speaking on the tussle between both players in September when Brazil defeated Ghana by 3-0 in an international friendly, Kudus revealed that they were both defending their various nations and nothing more.
“He was defending his country and I was defending mine. I wasn’t about to let him push me around. What makes him better, for now, is that he has achieved a lot,” he says. Then, with fire in those eyes, he gives a promise: “I’ll get there soon.”
The Black stars of Ghana takes on Portugal on Thursday in their group opener of the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.
