Reigning Ghana Premier League champions Medeama SC have officially announced the signing of Zimbabwe forward Kudakwashe Mahachi on a free transfer. The club made the announcement via Twitter on Tuesday, August 8.
The 29-year-old winger inked a one-year contract with the club.
The signing of Kudakwashe Mahachi is expected to strengthen Medeama’s squad as they gear up for the Ghana Premier League and the CAF Champions League in the upcoming season.
Mahachi had been a free agent since July 2022, following his release from South African club SuperSport United due to a legal case in his home country. He made 13 appearances for Super Sports United during his time with the club.
Mahachi has also had stints with South African football clubs including Orlando Pirates, Golden Arrows, and Mamelodi Sundowns. He has represented the Zimbabwean national team, earning 41 caps.
Medeama will begin their CAF Champions League campaign on August 20 when they host Remo Stars from Nigeria at the Cape Coast sports Stadium.
