Ghana boxer Seth Gyimah lost to his Senegalese opponent Seydou Konate in the middleweight (80kg) division at the ongoing Paris 2024 qualifiers in Dakar.
Gyimah announced last month that he would be joining the Ghana national team in a bid to qualify for Paris 2024 through the Africa Boxing Qualifier.
His remarkable rise to fame makes it almost impossible to believe that the 33-year-old started boxing just five years ago.
He was promptly slated to compete in the Boxing Africa Qualifier for Paris 2024, which runs from 9-15 September in the Dakar Arena.
His ambition was to defeat Seydou Konate in their middleweight (80 kg) fight, but things didn’t go according to plan, and he ended up losing.
