A WRAP OF GHANAIAN PLAYERS AND HOW THEY FARED IN ABROAD

IN England-
It was a free weekend for players who ply their trade in the country, because of the postponement of the leagues in the United Kingdom due to the passing of Queen Elizabeth II.
The likes of Crystal Palace duo Jordan Ayew & Jeffery Schlupp, Leicester City’s Daniel Amartey, Southampton’s Mohammed Salisu, Brighton’s Tariq Lamptey, and Reading Duo of Andy Yiadom and Abdul Baba Rahman will spend the footballing weekend in their various homes.
In Spain-
Atletico Bilbao’s Inaki Williams played 78 minutes for his side’s 4-1 win over Elche in the Spanish La Liga, his younger brother also of Ghanaian descent Neco Williams was amongst the scorers.
Iddrisu Baba of Mallorca had 37 minutes under his belt as they lost to Defending Champions Real Madrid by four goals to 1.
In the Italian Serie A & B-
Felix Afena Gyan came on from the bench in the second half for Cremonese as they held Atlanta to a one all draw. A first cameo appearance since moving from AS ROMA in the summer transfer window.
Alfred Duncan missed out in Fiorentina’s loss to Bologna with an injury.
Emmanuel Gyasi played 90 minutes for Spezia as they lost to Napoli by a goal to zero at the Stadio Olimpico.
Caleb Ekuban played 90 minutes for Genoa as they lost 1-0 to Palermo

Christopher Antwi-Adjei was on the bench for Bochum as they lost 3-1 against Schalke.
Kelvin-Prince Boateng played no part in Hertha Berlin’s 2-2 draw against Bayer Leverkusen
Daniel Kofi Kyereh saw 68 minutes of action for Freiburg against Borussia Mochengladbach
In Bundesliga II, Kwesi Okyere Wriedt saw 19 minutes of action for Holstein Kiel after coming on as a substitute as they lost 3-2 against Hamburger
Ransford Yeboah Konigsdorffer saw 33 minutes in the game for Hamburg
Stephan Ambrosius played the entire duration for Karlsruher SC against Heidenheim which ended in a draw
Braydon Marvin Manu and Patrick Pfeiffer were in action for Darmstadt in their 3-3 draw against Kaiserslautern
For the French Ligue 1
Kamaldeen Sulemana scored his first goal of the season for Stade Rennes in their 5-0 win over Gideon Mensah’s Auxerre, getting the better of the Ghanaian left back.
Alexander Djiku of Strasbourg and Alidu Seidu of Clermont Foot clashed in a goalless draw between both Clubs.
In the Dutch Eredivisie
Mohammed Kudus dominated headlines in the Dutch league with two goals against SC Heerenven, making it back-to-back goals in the UEFA Champions league and the domestic league.
It was the Ghanaian second start for the Club after a string of fine performances.

Despite playing 37 minutes for Genk, Joseph Painstil registered his fourth goal of the season against Union St. Gilliose.
Dennis Odoi & Kamal Sowah were in action for Club Brugge in their 2-0 win against Seraing.
