Harry Zakour, Former CEO of Hearts of Oak says the FA is not serious about the poor numbers that turn up during league matches.
In an interview on Akoma 87.9 FM, he said a lot of adverts and interviews created strong publicity about the league and people loved to watch it over European leagues in his era.
He further stated that there are no superstars in the league because the GFA is not serious and everything is collapsing and sometimes he doesn’t even know when his club Accra Hearts of Oak has a match.
“The FA must start inviting teams to play in competitions across the country and make sure the players are well-paid and maintained over the years. For me this is the only solution.” he added.
The Ghana Premier League has witnessed low patronage in the past months, with stadiums recording one of the worse attendance ever in the history of Ghana football.
