Jubilant Dr. Akwesi Ofori Asare, Coach of Black Bombers and Technical Director of our national teams after seeing Samuel Takyi into the semi Finals at the ongoing Olympics Games reacted calmly claiming the battle is not yet over and they are still working to change the colour of the medal at the Olympics.
The AIBA instructor and only three star-rated amateur coach in Ghana said he believes they have proven doubters who taught his comment of making history was just a joke wrong.
In his post fight interview Dr. Akwesi Ofori Asare said,
“Before coming here, we told the public that we are not coming here for joke, we are coming here to make a difference and that is what is happening now”
“I use to say that we are going to make history and people took it for a joke and we have proven it”
“We thank everybody who prayed and believed in us and supported us”
