Arsenal midfielder Thomas Partey has arrived at the Black Stars camp ahead of Ghana’s Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Madagascar on Sunday.

With Ghana currently leading their group with 8 points, a victory in this crucial match will secure their place in next year’s Africa Cup of Nations in Ivory Coast.

As the deputy captain of the team, Partey is the 25th player to join the team after their gathering on Monday.

The 30-year old midfielder arrived in Ghana in the early hours of Tuesday and has already joined his teammates at the Alisa Hotel in Accra.

The Black Stars are set to train later today at the Accra Sports Stadium, with the session scheduled for 4:30 pm. Partey, along with Gideon Mensah and Hafiz Konkoni, missed yesterday’s training session. However Partey’s inclusion in the training later today will enable him to integrate with the team and work on strategies for the upcoming match against Madagascar.

Thomas Partey did not feature in Ghana’s previous game against Angola due to a precautionary measure following a minor injury.

Partey’s presence in the team will greatly enhance the Black Stars’ midfield with his vision and defensive abilities. His return adds strength and experience to the squad as they strive for victory.
