Ghanaian youngster Christopher Baah Bonsu has joined Belgian side KRC Genk from Norwegian side Sarpsborg.
The former Shooting Stars attacker penned a five year deal with the Belgian outfit on Thursday morning after completing a successful mandatory medical.
Bonsu Baah joined Sarpsborg in March, 2023 from Ghanaian lower tier side, Shooting Stars FC and went on to feature in 12games in the current season scoring one goal and providing an assist.
The 2023 Golden Boy award nominee becomes the most expensive player in the history of Sarpsborg and will playing alongside Black Stars forward Joseph Paintsil at his new club.
“I have known the club for some time. When I was little, I played FIFA with KRC Genk for the sake of players like De Bruyne & Courtois”, Baah told the press.
“When I heard of KRC Genk’s interest, I didn’t hesitate for a second, despite interest from other teams. The fact that I now belong to the club feels like the right choice at the right time. I can’t wait to develop further.”
