The Black Meteors of Ghana have left the shores of Ghana on Thursday for Maputo for the CAF U23 qualifier against Mozambique.
The 22-member team together with the technical and medical staff are expected to arrive in Maputo on Friday morning as they face off Mozambique on Sunday, 23 October at the Estadio Nacional do Zimpeto.
The winner of the two legged encounter will be playing the winner of the match between Algeria and DR Congo to seal a ticket for the fourth edition of the U-23 Africa Cup of Nations in June 2023 in Morocco.
The Black Meteors have been preparing at the Ghanaman Soccer Center of Excellence at Prampram for the two-leg encounter and are hoping to qualify for the tournament and subsequently earn a spot in the 2024 Olympic games.
